Prepare well
I ask the important questions early so the shoot day is focused and the crew knows the plan.
About Dakota Martin
I’m a Las Vegas director of photography, videographer, and photographer. I care about the frame, the people making it, and what happens after the cameras are packed away.

Behind the camera
I work across commercial and corporate films, sports and live events, narrative pieces, real estate, interviews, and recurring content. Depending on the job, I may be behind the camera, leading the visual approach, producing the shoot, or carrying the project through the edit.
Some clients need a director of photography who can step into an established crew. Others need one person who can plan the day, build the right team, capture video and stills, and keep post moving. I’m comfortable in both situations.
On set, I prepare carefully, communicate directly, and stay calm when the plan changes. My job is to make the work look right and make the process easier for the people trusting me with it.
What you can expect
I ask the important questions early so the shoot day is focused and the crew knows the plan.
Clear communication makes better work and gives everyone room to do their job.
I stay involved through the edit, versions, and handoff so the final work is ready to use.
